Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau

Description:: The Abilene CVB launched an entirely new responsive website with a modern design, a dynamic events widget, and reworked database structure to eliminate excessive clicks. We compiled relevant content based on visitor behavioral data and added more engaging features to the lineup of “Live Like a Local” itineraries, which offer visitors pre-built travel plans recommended by locals. We also were able to create a mobile responsive website, improving the browsing experience across multiple devices. Other improvements include:

• Improved metadata and SEO to produce
relevant, accurate search engine results
for increased visibility.
• Updated multimedia elements to increase
visual appeal and a consistent and
balanced layout.
• Published a signup form to capture and
convert visitors into contacts for growth of
our email marketing.
• Added digital campaigns to optimize new
landing pages.
• Pushed out new pages across social media
platforms and through a refreshed weekly
e-letter targeting locals and monthly or
quarterly emails targeting visitor markets.

Objectives: Transform abilenevisitors.com into a dynamic digital media tool to deliver engaging and meaningful content to the city’s dominant visitor markets: leisure, sports, group tours and meetings.
