Kerrville Convention & Visitors Bureau

Description:
In response to comments from locals and visitors to the new Kerrville Sports Complex that they "just didn't know where to eat or what else to do" in their free time we launched the "Don't Get Caught" campaign locally to highlight and increase awareness of our website trip planning widget and mobile app options. Brochures and other information were already in place in the pro shop and other locations around town; clearly we needed to find other ways to catch their attention. We produced postcards and posters using a catchy & unique photo generated by a Kerrville visitor, with his permission. These posters were placed in all the sports complex restrooms as well as other frequented locations at the complex and around town while the postcards were given to stores & restaurants for counter placement and hotels for both front desk and room placement.

Objective:
To increase local awareness of our trip planning capabilities on our website and the Kerrville mobile app with both residents and visitors at the new Kerrville Sports Complex and throughout the community thus enhancing their time and experience in Kerrville.

Description:
Visit Tyler, the City of Tyler, the Tyler Police Department, the Blue Knights Motorcycle Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Eguide and Hit the Bricks – 2nd Saturday joined forces to bring awareness of THE SEASON OF GIVING in Tyler, Texas. The Blue Santa Program is designed to give the Tyler Police Department and chance to give back to the (at risk) children of East Texas that they have made contact with in the previous year. Visit Tyler took this opportunity to bring awareness to this wonderful cause. Joining with EGuide, the all-day event started on Tyler’s Downtown Square (Hit the Bricks, 2nd Saturday) and ended with an all-adult pub crawl (that featured our local restaurants and bars). The five thousand dollars ($5,000) raised was given to the Tyler Police Department to be used for a “one-on-one shopping spree” with the children and the officers.

Objective:
  1. Bring awareness and monetary support to the (at risk) children of Tyler and Smith County
  2. Provide an all-day event that was family friendly and festive During the day – Letters to Santa, cookie decorating, photos with Santa, singing and dancing In the evening a 7-stop Pub Crawl (where you collected all the items of Santa’s costume)
  3. Provide an event that would attract visitors to Tyler with a community outreach component
